New Proteus® series SWL 30mT King Post Offshore Pedestal Crane

Protea designed and tested a new Proteus® series SWL 30mT King Post Offshore Pedestal Crane for oil production platform in Venezuela.

The crane has passed Fabrication Acceptance Test (FAT) and received ABS approval. The crane was designed according to ABS Lifting Appliances and “API Specification 2C”. Four pieces of such cranes are altogether under production.

The purpose of the crane is open sea lifting operations between offshore installation and supply vessels. The crane is diesel-hydraulically driven and lattice boom, winch luffing type.
